There is an incredibly high demand for CNAs
COA’s NO-COST/Noncredit Certified Nursing Assistant program will prepare you for the state certification exam and will help establish skills for successful work in an inpatient hospital setting, but more commonly in long-term residential facilities, rehabilitation centers, and adult day care centers. Some individuals will use their knowledge as a CNA to bridge the gap to further their career and become an LPN or RN. A large number of CNAs are already in a nursing school program and use this career as a chance to learn more about the healthcare world and gain additional real world application and knowledge. Others become a CNA in order to determine if they want to continue to the next step in their healthcare journey.

Requirements:
• Be at least 16 years old
• Successfully complete an
approved CNA training program
• Obtain a criminal record
clearance
Admissions Process
This is a noncredit program and will require mandatory orientation. As a condition of program acceptance, you will be required to successfully submit to drug testing, Tuberculosis (TB) test. Students will be required to pass a criminal background check by the California Department of Justice (DOJ).

CNA training is a Noncredit program. Training will provide you with the necessary skills to successfully pass the State Certification Exam.
