New Student Steps to Success

If you’re new to college – whether you’re a recent high school graduate, you’ve completed your GED, or you graduated from high school a while ago, start here. You’ll need to complete a simple series of steps to apply for admission, and enroll in classes. Also, don’t forget to apply for financial aid to help pay for college!

Apply online for admission

Create or sign in to your openCCC account in order to submit an application. See below for resources available that can help guide you with the application process.

For Concurrent Enrollment Students:

Concurrent enrollment students will need prior permission from their high school Counselor and submit the High School Special Enrollment form in order to enroll into courses at CoA.

Place yourself into the right Math and English/ ESOL courses

Meet with a Counselor to plan your classes, and create a Student Educational Plan that will help you reach your educational goals sooner.

 

Schedule a Counseling Appointment Need to clear a pre-requisite? Fill out the Pre-requisite Clearance document, attach a copy of your unofficial transcripts and email alldocuments to COAprereq@peralta.edu.

Log in to your Student Campus Solutions portal to enroll into classes. See below for resources that can help you navigate the portal.
