Course Description

The Computer Information Systems (CIS) program will prepare you for entry level business positions requiring the use of computer applications, and will qualify you in the use of word processing, spreadsheet and database management applications. More advanced students may enroll in telecommunications and computer networking courses. In fact, College of Alameda is the only Peralta college to offer helpdesk (desktop support technician) courses and networking courses. Our department is committed to making our courses accessible to all by providing you the option of taking courses in-person, online, or hybrid (online plus some in-person instruction), or completely online.
