Marshall Collins

Marshall Collins takes over the reigns as COA’s 2018 head men’s basketball coach.

Collins is coming off a Nike Peach Jam “Final Four” appearance after winning the Championship the previous year. Collins was named the 2017 Nike Elite Youth Basketball League Coach of the Year.

He coached three seasons at Chabot College where the team made the JUCO Final Four. Before Chabot College, Collins coached six seasons at Los Medanos College and one season at College of Alameda and College of Marin. He helped Los Medanos College to a “Top 5” ranking in the North and 8th in the State, back-to-back League MVPs and All-State players, and four 20-plus win seasons. His coaching accolades continued with four “Top 10” offensive teams and over 20 four-year scholarships for his players throughout the years. In 2008-2009, Collins helped put together a team that led to the most wins in Los Medanos College’s history (25-8 record).

Collins earned a master of business ad-ministration from the University of Phoenix and a bachelor’s degree in history from Park University.
