Program Review
At College of Alameda, Program Review allows faculty and staff to lead a purposeful and continuous cycle of improvement through two related processes: Comprehensive Program Review and Annual Program Updates (APUs). Both the comprehensive program review and APU are integral parts of an overall institutional evaluation, planning and development process with the following goals to:
- Ensure that program goals are consistent and aligned with the college’s mission and strategic plan;
- Ensure that academic and student service programs remain focused on student success by assessing equity gaps and discussing ways to close them;
- Highlighting program strengths and challenges;
- Provide updates to Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) and Service Area Outcomes (SAOs)
- Emphasizing program needs and priorities via resource requests
COA Program Review/APU Cycle: College of Alameda conducts Comprehensive Program Review and Annual Program Updates (APU) every year.
