Alameda Science and Technology Institute (ASTI)

Alameda Science and Technology Institute (ASTI) is located on the campus of the College of Alameda (CoA). First opened in 2004, ASTI is a collaboration between Alameda Unified School District (AUSD) and the College of Alameda. As an early college high school (ECHS), Alameda Science and Technology Institute is unique in its approach to secondary education. Students at ASTI are take high school college preparatory curriculum in grades 9 and 10 before then enrolling full-time at the College of Alameda through dual enrollment where students in satisfy California and AUSD high school graduation requirements while simultaneously to eaning up to two years of community college credits. Many students complete ASTI with both a High School Diploma and an CoA Associates Degree/Certificate.

ASTI has been recognized for many student and learning achievement, including:
2019- California Distinguished School; National Merit Scholars
2017-California Gold Ribbon of Excellence; California Green Ribbon
2015- National Blue Ribbon School recognition
