About Jane

Jane McKenna is a tenured librarian at College of Alameda Library.   She currently serves as Head Librarian and also as Access Services Librarian. Jane also teaches an online course, Information Seeking Behavior (LIS74), through the Library Information Studies Department.

LIS74 Course

LIS74 is 3 units, meets Area E, is CSU and UC transferable, and taught completely online at College of Alameda. It covers an introduction to the basic concepts/tools used in information research and explores information-seeking theories, methods and user behaviors. 

To enroll: go to Passport on the College of Alameda homepage.

Once you have Enrolled: On the first day of class, check your Peralta Student e-mail for a message from the instructor explaining how to get started in the class. If students do not follow the instructions within that message by the specified deadline then they may be dropped as no shows.
